E EVALUASI KINERJA HEAT EXCHANGER JENIS KONDENSOR 1110-C TIPE SHELL AND TUBE BERDASARKAN NILAI FOULING FACTOR PADA UNIT PURIFIKASI DI AMMONIA PLANT PT X

Kondensor adalah salah satu alat penukar panas (heat exchanger) yang dapat mengembunkan fasa uap menjadi cair atau fluida.. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti ingin mengevaluasi nilai efisiensi Heat Exchanger jenis kondensor 1110-C Tipe Shell and Tube melalui faktor pengotornya di unit Purifikasi pada Pabrik Ammonia PT. X. Dengan kondisi operasi bagian shell (CO2 + Steam) T1 sebesar 184,28 oF, T2 124,7 oF dengan Flowrate 116.879 lb/hr. Sedangkan dibagian tube (cooling water) t1 97,34 t2 112,82oF 2.751.340 lb/hr Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan Fouling factor didapat 0,03851 Btu/hr Ft2 ˚F. Dimana tersebut melebihi fouling design 0,00059 ˚F, hal menunjukan bahwa heat exchanger telah jenuh memiliki kandungan kotoran (Impurities) didalamnya dan harus segera dilakukan cleaning.
